The dried shiitake mushrooms from Miyazaki are known for their high sugar content (trehalose) and are valued for their refreshing sweetness as well as their crunchy and elastic texture. They have a pronounced umami flavour, a pleasant aroma and an appealing texture, which has earned them many fans worldwide.

This shiitake grows in a small plantation in the forest on oak trunks without any chemical additives. Very good quality.
