Umeboshi - Plums in salt

1 Packung / 500 gr | Japan

KOBAI-EN:
Umeboshi Koume 3 years (small plums)

The plums grow in secluded nature without the use of fertilisers or pesticides, free from human support or interference, and are therefore rich in iron as well as vitamins B2 and E.

Umeboshi are widely used pickled ume fruits in Japan. The word ‘umeboshi’ is often translated as ‘salted Japanese plums’, ‘Japanese plums’ or ‘preserved plums’. Ume (Prunus mume) is a fruit-bearing tree species from the Prunus family that is often referred to as a ‘plum’, although it is actually more closely related to the apricot. Umeboshi are both savoury and sour.
