The Bansei Shuzo distillery is located in Kagoshima Prefecture. Corn Shochu is produced in a similar way to bourbon: It is a distillate that consists of 51% corn and also rye and barley.

The Kaseda Corn Shochu is matured in Japanese cedar wood barrels and after 30 years it takes on a wonderful amber colour. Its flavour, which is slightly sweet and reminiscent of bourbon, is nevertheless exceptionally smooth, which is further emphasised by the moderate alcohol content of 34% Vol. The ‘Kaseda Corn Shochu 30 Years’ is considered a rarity.
